Heart
From the heart flow the "wellsprings of life," according to the Bible. Because of this, we believe addressing the matters of the heart is essential. Talk therapy is our way of engaging your heart.
The way we see it around here, counseling from a Christian world view is a process in which the counselor and the client walk together towards the full, free and meaningful life that God offers through the person of Jesus Christ.
The primary goals are 1) to “reframe” uncomfortable, distressing or perplexing situations into opportunities for healing, growth, change and restoration 2) give some real, practical, doable steps to take and 3) orient people towards a much larger story that is unfolding alongside their own.

Soul
Your soul is the eternal part of you. Spiritual Direction is our way of engaging your soul. In the hurry and distraction of busy schedules, we may find ourselves going through the motions without a real sense of life behind them. When we slow down, what rises to the surface? Our souls were made for an intimate relationship with the One who made us. We find that all of life – heartache and joy, pain and healing – can be brought into honest conversation with this Creator.
Spiritual direction creates a space to slow down and listen to the God who loves us. Listening is at the heart of spiritual direction. Ironically, a spiritual director does not direct your spiritual life, nor do they tell you what you should do. It may actually be more helpful to think in terms of a spiritual “accompanier” or “companion.” God is the true Director. Together with God, you and your spiritual director can listen for where and how God is at work in all areas of your life. How does the idea of living life with God sound to your soul? Brain
Much of what brings people into counseling can be explored, understood, reinterpreted, treated and healed through simply talking about it. Sometimes talking isn't enough, though. Sometimes a significant portion of a client's distress is happening at the level of the brain. When that is the case, we want to aim at the brain. Medication is often used to treat the brain and can be exactly the right intervention. For folks who've not had the success they want with medication or would prefer to avoid medication altogether, we believe Neurofeedback is the answer!
