Heart
From the heart flow the "wellsprings of life," according to the Bible. Because of this, we believe addressing the matters of the heart is essential. Talk therapy is our way of engaging your heart.
The way we see it around here, counseling from a Christian world view is a process in which the counselor and the client walk together towards the full, free and meaningful life that God offers through the person of Jesus Christ.
The primary goals are 1) to “reframe” uncomfortable, distressing or perplexing situations into opportunities for healing, growth, change and restoration 2) give some real, practical, doable steps to take and 3) orient people towards a much larger story that is unfolding alongside their own.

Soul
Your soul is the eternal part of you. Spiritual Direction is our way of engaging your soul. Spiritual direction assumes that Love is at work in every area of our lives: our relationships, work, leisure, play and quiet. We welcome doubt, frustration, and pain as well as certainty, joy, and healing. In this practice of being present, the client/directee is invited to bring all parts of themselves, understanding that by Creative Design, it all belongs.
An experienced companion (spiritual director) can often help you notice invitations and respond to what is sirring within, in a private and confidential setting. In Spiritual Direction, the director will be present and hold space with you. Whatever is stirring up in you is welcome, as authenticity and honesty are valued. Meet Russell Courtney, our Spiritual Director.

Brain
Much of what brings people into counseling can be explored, understood, reinterpreted, treated and healed through simply talking about it. Sometimes talking isn't enough, though. Sometimes a significant portion of a client's distress is happening at the level of the brain. When that is the case, we want to aim at the brain. Medication is often used to treat the brain and can be exactly the right intervention. For folks who've not had the success they want with medication or would prefer to avoid medication altogether, we believe Neurofeedback is the answer!
