Is your heart racing as you maneuver through this site? Looking for a counselor can create such a vulnerable feeling, maybe even a sense of desperation to find someone who will help. I commend you on the courage you have used to even be this far in the process of seeking counseling. You are heading towards a safe place!
As a former emergency room nurse, I approach counseling through a systematic lens with a particular appreciation for the effects of trauma in one's present and past life. Our struggles can be like a spider web in that they have the potential to affect so many areas of our life, as well as becoming "stuck" in our bodies. Anna. |
For this reason I offer counseling sessions both in office and "Walk-Talk Therapy", which is basically taking the counseling session outdoors to a local walking path. Often, with a little physical movement, what seems like an impossible problem in our minds becomes workable as our feet propel us forward. Clients can choose each session whether they want to sit or walk, or do a little of both!
I welcome most anyone who is seeking healing, yet I tend to see mainly adolescent and adult women, and couples. Take a look around this page to learn more about the types of issues I generally address. Click on the "Walk Talk" hyperlink to gather more information about walk talk therapy. Finally, free to call if you would like an actual voice to answer your questions! I hope to hear from you.
